David Conley, W of New Zealand?and a former executive producer?t? FX has been appointed president of multinational visual effects and animation studio Moving Picture Company (MPC) – The Jungle Book (2016), The Lion King (2019) and the upcoming Mufasa: The Lion King. The announcement was made by Technicolor Group, the parent company of MPC.

Conley's recent work at w?t? hbo's video game adaptation The Last of Us is included, and War is Over! - 2024 Oscar-winning short animation inspired by the music of John Lennon and Yoko Ono. More than his decade of features in the W?t? Included Aliens: Romulus, Avatar: Water Road, Deadly Engine, Avengers: Endgame, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, and war for the planet of apes.

At the MPC, Conley will oversee operations at studio facilities in Montreal, Toronto, Los Angeles, Paris, Liege, Adelaide, Bangalore and Mumbai. MPC's recent and upcoming projects include the Prime series The Boys, Disney's Snow White and 7 Dwarfs, and a hybrid adaptation of Lilo and Stitch.

Conley, who began his filmmaking career at Paramount and Fox, will be based in London and will report directly to Technicolor's Chief Strategy Officer Andrea Miloro and Chief Executive Caroline Parot.
