Lightbox Expo returns to Pasadena with over 500 confirmed guests and 150 panels
Lightbox Expo will face Pasadena for the first time since 500+ confirmed guests, 150 panels, and the 2022Concept Art Awards in 2019.
Programmed with participants of all professional and skill levels in mind, Lightbox Expo has released details of its vast panel lineup. Some of the exciting presentations of the year include creating a world of arcane; creating a world of graphic design with Pixar; creating a world of graphic design with Pixar; creating a world of graphic design with Pixar; creating a world of graphic design with Pixar; creating a world of graphic design with Pixar; creating a world of graphic design with Pixar; creating a world of graphic design with Pixar; creating a world of graphic design with Pixar; creating a world of graphic design with Pixar; creating a world of graphic design with Pixar; creating a world of graphic design with Pixar;; There are several panels held by the Disney-affiliated team, an all-star coaching panel with Brenda Chapman, Shannon Tindall and Tony Bancroft, and about 145 more.
High-profile artistic talents confirmed for this year's expo include Oscar-winning Brave Co-director Brenda Chapman, Hair Love Co-Director and My Dad Bounty Hunter director Everett Downing, Jr., Dinotopia creator James Gurney, Jurassic Park design artist The film also includes Oscar-nominated co-director of "Crash" McCreery, Star Trek concept design artist Neville Page, and the Dam Keeper and Netflix's upcoming special Ogre: The Story of the Thunder God Dice Embankment.
Another Lightbox Expo, the annual highlight is the Concept Art Award ceremony, which was programmed to raise awareness of the roles played by concept artists in film, television, video games, and many other worlds. This year's ceremony will be held at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium on Saturday 10/15.
In addition to awards for animation, live action and video game concept Art, the ceremony will award Mary Blair the posthumous Lifetime Achievement Award, a concept artist of Disney's classic features such as Alice in Wonderland, Peter Pan and Cinderella.
Lightbox Expo was co-founded in 2019 by character designer, illustrator and Expo Creative Director Bobby Chiu and Jim Demonakos, director of the documentary "Mike Mignola: Drawing Monsters" 1. Of this year's events, Chiu said:
We are pleased to host Lightbox Expo directly after two years of virtual events. During the pandemic, we experimented with ways to gather artists online, including launching the popular Lightbox Expo Discord channel. And while it has been a rewarding experience for the Lightbox Expo community, which has grown internationally in ways we never imagined, there is absolutely nothing like walking through an event filled with more than 500 most talented artists, writers and filmmakers working today.

Lightbox Expo shines a spotlight on the creators behind your favorite animations, illustrations, games, live-action movies and TV shows, all under one roof This year's event feels like a homecoming. After the 2019 debut event, we moved online and we want to come back together to celebrate the art personally.

Live Action: Spider-Man: No Way Home, The Legend of Shan Chi and Ten Ring, Dr. Strange 2 of the Crazy Multiverse, Batman, The Tragedy of Macbeth, No, Antlers, Eternity, Thor: Love and Thunder, Dunes, Matrix Resurrection, Jungle Cruise, Suicide Squad, Reminiscence, Foundation, Moon Knight The Book of Boba Fett, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Star Trek: The Strange New World, and Cowboy Bebop.
Video Games: Cycle: Frontier, Lost at Random, Guardians of the Galaxy Marvel, Apex Legend, Dirt, Source of Madness, Tribe of Midgard, Door of Death, Risk of Rain 2: Survivors of the Void, Assassin's Creed Valhalla, and Dying Light 2 remain human.
